This small store for prepared gourmet foods, was thought of almost as a jewelry boutique. To give the feeling of home-cooked food, we used mostly natural materials and a very warm palette. The cherry and steel shelving units were custom designed to convey both elegance and functionality.

Alessandra Dini earned her B.A. from Harvard College in Fine Arts, and a Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. After working for five years in Barcelona, Spain, she settled in New York where she founded Out of Time Architecture, in 1994. In parallel to the architectural work, in 1996 Alessandra also founded New York Works, a design production firm based in New York and in Italy.
