Recognizing
that one of the most important aspects of any academic environment
is the free flow of information and ideas, this project was developed
around a main axis of circulation, thought of as a space, rather
than as a connector. Much as the courtyard was the main setting
where academic discussion could take place, through the Middle
Ages, this new interpretation transforms the courtyard into a
dynamic ribbon that connects all levels of the buildings it crosses,
and becomes the spine of the campus.
